About Us
Our company is unique in the level of attention given to each detail of every project we perform.
Both the president and vice-president of the company have worked in many different positions in this industry, climbing up from ditch-man to operator to foreman to estimator. This lends a special perspective to their project management. Drawing from this experience, BSSI is capable of streamlining processes and cost effectively problem-solving any issues that might arise.

OUR HISTORY
In the fall of 2002, after a year and a half working for an Atlanta based construction company and spending 40 years in the industry, Barry Schmidt decided to start his own company. His vision was to run the company with the knowledge that each project was a reflection of his personal character.
As a Christian, personal character is of critical importance to Barry. He knows he will be held to a higher standard and this has inspired the company’s day-to-day operations.
At BSSI, employees are assets and not just numbers.
This perspective also lends itself to a family atmosphere in the workplace and has caused the company to grow to include multiple crews and a full office/support staff. The company has attracted many workers including Barry’s son Timothy who first accompanied his dad to jobs at age 11. Starting in the ditch when Barry began the company, he has now worked his way up to the position of company vice-president. BSSI remains committed to producing a professional product for their customers while giving high priority to faith and family.
