BSSI operates multiple crews delivering high-quality installation of water, sewer, storm drain, and fire-line utilities across a wide range of project sizes and construction types. Our team also brings deep experience in specialized services, including bio-retention ponds, rain gardens, and underground retention systems.   From underground infrastructure to specialized excavations—ranging from tight, confined spaces around existing utilities and buildings to large-scale, ground-up projects—every job is handled by skilled professionals who take pride in doing the work right—safely, efficiently, and with attention to detail.


Fire Line

BSSI installs fire-line systems designed to meet strict safety standards and ensure reliable water delivery when it matters most. Our crews handle projects of all sizes with precision and attention to detail, keeping communities and businesses protected.

Water Line

We provide expert waterline installation for commercial and municipal systems. BSSI prioritizes quality materials and efficient methods to deliver safe, dependable infrastructure on every project.

Sewer Line

Excavation

From site preparation to grading and earthwork, BSSI delivers precise excavation services for demanding projects. We specialize in maintaining accurate flat grades, working at depths exceeding 26 feet, and using line boring on long runs over 300 feet where tight tolerances—often under a 1% grade—are required.

Today, the company is led by President Tim Schmidt, who grew up in the business and worked his way through every level of the field before stepping into leadership.
